Today was the first day of classes, at least for graduate students. I have two Mon/Wed classes and two Tues/Thurs classes. Today was the first meetings for Accounting (10:00A-11:50A) and Organizational Behavior (3:00P-4:50P). I would say it was the standard first day for both: meet, review the syllabus, discuss expectations, briefly introduce class topics, etc. Tomorrow will be the first meetings of Statistics (8:00A-9:50A) and Conceptual Foundations of Business Ethics (1:00P-2:50P).
I also picked up my football ticket lottery number, got parking permits, and more importantly ate at a fascinating thai restaurant. The ambiance of Thai Lao (South Bend Ave.) is something nearly unexplainable. I can honestly say I have never eaten anywhere that is quite like this little place. Anyway, if you live in the South Bend/Mishawaka area, go in there sometime. The so-so lunch buffet is only $4.00 and the owner is an energetic, friendly woman with lots of stories (and opinions) to share.
